Sweet Shot Tuesday

It’s the 101st Sweet Shot Tuesday, and with a number like that, this announcement comes at a perfect time. If you were here on Friday for the p52 announcement, then this will come as no surprise. ;)

It’s busy baby season here at my studio! It’s also the beginning of a packed portrait season. In fact, if you’re hoping for summer portraits and haven’t booked yet – call your photographer soon! The best sessions times (golden hour!) fill up fast. Squirrel!

What that means, is that the shooting schedule and subsequent editing times and viewing sessions have filled my hours! This is definitely not a complaint – I adore my time with fresh babies, gummy smiles, chubby baby feet, and loving families. But it doesn’t leave me much time to be a responsible SST host. Fielding emails and checking links to make sure everyone is playing nicely takes time, if done right.

So, Sweet Shot Tuesday has become a relay instead of a marathon, and I’m passing the baton to my friend Kent Weakley. If you’ve been here for any length of time, you’ve heard me talk about Kent’s talents. His blog is, by far, one of the best resources of photography education out there! He and I share many of the same goals – we want you to get better with your camera so that you can be the memory keeper for your family.

We will be in good hands with Kent. So without further ado… let’s head on over to Kent’s blog and link up our Sweet Shot Tuesday posts.

But don’t stay gone, too long, I’d love if you would keep up with me over on my photography blog and on Facebook! See you there!

  1. Couldn’t sleep and saw Kent’s tweet. Gonna miss linking up here, but you couldn’t have chosen a better person to pass the baton to. I don’t Facebook, but I’ll subscribe to your photography blog.

    • I’ll miss it, too, actually. But I want good turn around on my clients’ galleries. Turning these over to Kent was easy – I knew they’d be in good hands. Maybe better!

Ill be catching up over on the photo blog soon (with all this extra time I have no excuses! )

Thanks for all your years of sharing here. Although voyeuristically, I’ve seen a lot of your work evolve… it’s been fun to watch!

  2. Awwww – we will miss you BUT HOW EXCITING that your business is growing so great. Congratulations! I’m looking forward to Facebook and Twitter with you. Have a blessed summer :)

  3. Hmmm…Kent’s website has been down since the end of May. The server message states “This blog has been suspended”…

    • It’s been working perfectly for me – I’ve been there several times in the last few weeks. try clearing your cache and trying again. Was just there now to check – all looks good!
