This is our last Sweet Shot Tuesday before a brief hiatus for October’s 31 Days of Photo Tips (which if you subscribe, you got day 8 leaked into your RSS feed. oops!). We will be back as usual after 4 weeks off – on Tuesday, November 1. There will be several opportunities during 31 Days to try some experiments and link up your photos. I want to see what you’re shooting in October, too!
But before all that happens, I want to invite you all to come to an online workshop hosted by my friends Amy Bayliss and Lisa Boyd – co-founders of the DIY Ministry. I’m going to be talking about Branding and Identity for your blog.
When? Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 2pm central for the live workshop – yes, they’ll be Q&A time! If you can’t be there, it’ll be available for download to watch whenever ya feel like it.
How do I create a brand for my blog or website? What makes a good logo? Do I need one? What elements constitute “good branding”? What’s is “niche blogging” and how does it set the tone for your blog? How do I find my identity and spread awareness & recognition of it in a saturated blogosphere?
Amy is trying to talk me into a webcam for the whole thing. Good gravy – I dunno. They are recording this for download and watching later for those who can’t make the live session. And I am so fidgety and awkward on camera. You’ll have to tune in – at the very least it might be a good giggle at my expense.

We lost internet for days when lightning struck our house. When I got back I saw Day 8 in my blog feed and wondered how I’d missed the first seven days of your 31 Days! Glad you straightened that out for me.
Looking forward to next month! I saw that Day 8 and was totally confused on vacation wondering how the heck I missed the other days and wondering what day it actually was lol
