It’s officially August which means that back-to-school is in full swing. Except around here. Where I will ignore it all, buy nothing, and continue to celebrate Summer until September 22 when the calendar announces Summer is officially over.
You know I’m going to cry just a little when I start seeing those first traditional kid on the porch, new backpack, new shoes photos. Let’s just put those off as long as possible, k? I hope to see images of you all enjoying the last kicks of summer.

ps – I’m probably in a car. And smell like a tent. Aren’t you glad the internet doesn’t have smell-o-vision??

so far, best summer memory this year was my two year old having his first ice cream truck treat.
he was just mesmerized that the truck-that he thinks is so cool-would stop for him!

Oh my goodness I was JUST there in Rocky Mountain National Park this past week!! I’m from Ohio and was traveling there for a conference. This was my first taste of the Rockies and you have captured them beautifully!!

Back to school means back to work, so I’m going to treasure the last few weeks of my time off. My fondest memories of this summer? Building my blogs’ with awesome new designs and a renewed interest in documenting life, a reviving of my writing interest, and a developing portfolio and style for my photography. It’s a great time of year for me that culminates with the 32nd birthday next week.
Beautiful shot, makes me want to visit the US more and more.
Swimming in the ocen with huge Atlantic rollers breaking on the shore, and watching the Dawn break over fairhead in Ballycastle, n Ireland.
