Happy 4th of July! It still feels like a weekend to me – Sweet Shot Tuesday came much too quickly after a long holiday weekend. I can’t wait to see what you all have been shooting. Both my Canadian and American friends should have fireworks, parade and BBQ pics.

We spent the weekend in FL – such a fun time! That shot of lightning is fabulous!
This was the first year we haven’t had a big shindig in a while. My husband was working, my daughter and son-in-law spent time with his sister, and my older son was at the lake.
Then the fireworks didn’t happen because of a thunderstorm. So, not the best of days around here, but we still remembered what it was all about!
VEry cool lightning shots. I live in the lightning capital, so I really should head out one evening and capture some over the bay.

I cheated and used a Sweet Shot from a few years ago that I have to share every 4th, but like your super awesome (literally awesome) lightening shots, how can you ever top it? Lightening! Amazing. I marvel at Mother nature when scenes like these get captured. Very awesome pictures of the storm.

I miss thunder and lightning! We get the passing rain showers every day, but that’s about it. Unless you want to count the 5.7 earthquake last week, but that’s not exactly weather and it only lasted for 30 seconds.
