Welcome to the mid-September edition of Sweet Shot Tuesday. Holy cow, where has this year gone? Leaves are changing here in the midwest. I bet soon those linked up shots of swimming pools and bathing beauties will be replaced with fall foliage, gourds and pumpkins.
Life’s too short not to take pictures!
Here in my neck of the words, big changes are happening! My basement is being transformed into a studio. It’s been a loud, chaotic, exciting, scary, wonderful (and did I mention loud?) process! You can see the progress here and here. I’ve got more posts coming to keep you up to date. No progress was nearly as dramatic as that first day!
It’s your turn. Now show us what YOU’VE been up to!

The leaves are starting to change here too, and though it’s still hot in the afternoons, the mornings are crisper and the evenings are nice. And my photos are definitely starting to change – this week’s is of my daughter roasting marshmallows. I’m so ready for fall!
I’ve been reveling in the thoughts of autumn – with trees starting to show off in a delightful hint of their future autumn colour and even getting to see that here and there leaves are falling down – what we love to call our “autumn ballet.”
This is our second autumn in the south east. Last year’s fall foliage was the most spectacular I’d ever seen (coming from the coast – both east and west), and I’m really looking forward to a delightful repeat. I purposely planted some “autumnal” colored sunflowers in the Sunflower House for my grandchildren so even my sunflowers have been smiling at me with autumn colors.
Have a blessed and colorful week.
Hey that’s exciting news about the basement studio. Hope it is completed quickly.
Yeah I have to agree I’m having a hard time believing the year is almost over. I’ve already started work on next year’s family calendar. Feel like too soon.
