Oh my word, do I have something for you guys! So remember earlier this month when I featured my friend Kent Weakley’s Night Photography Class? Well, Kent has graciously offered a spot his Night Photography class to one m3b reader. I’m taking the class, and now one of you will win a spot – a $97 value – to take it with me.
“This online eClass will cover all the ends and outs of shooting at night from equipment to camera settings. Featured topics will include blue hour, fireworks, moon and stars, light painting and abstract/motion night photography. While these are somewhat more advanced topics, this eClass has been designed to accommodate beginners and professionals alike.
Is it time to get outside the typical day lit snapshot box, and ramp up the creative in your photography? What better way than by playing and experimenting in the fun and colorful world of night photography. This Night Photography eClass is truly an investment in you and your creative future. Join us, we’d love to have you along as we learn together.”
Anyone who participates is entered to win a spot in the class. Winner will be announced next Monday.
All right, let’s see whatcha been shooting!

Very nice… I checked out Kent’s blog the last time you featured him. He has some really amazing stuff on there, and I like how he showcases other photographers.
I soooo need to learn to take better night photos…one of the biggest and toughest things to do in my life. I love what he showed in the preview of the class. Thanks for the link-up D!
Talk about perfect timing! I was walking outside last week when the moon and the clouds were playing peek-a-boo. It was absolutely gorgeous. I grabbed my easy to use digital camera but on auto pilot, the photo didn’t come out near as lovely. I know it has more capabilities, once I learn them. I was especially intrigued by his description of the “Blue Hour” class. Very interesting! Thanks for this fun contest and another delightful Sweet Shot Tuesday!
I almost didn’t participate because I only have a point and shoot but I love taking pictures. After checking out Kent’s site I saw that he said point and shoots are ok! Sweet! I would love to learn more about photography.
This class sounds sooooo cool! I’d love to learn more about night photography, I am such a novice when it comes to that!
So fun! I have learned a lot from his blog. I know this class will be very beneficial to whoever takes it.
Thanks for hosting this every week. It is always so much fun to see the pictures everyone submits.
thats neat.
Just found your site an I am loving what I see.
So wish I had time to take this class, watched your video and it’s great, loved the detail in the fireworks, mine are just a slash of color
Night photography is something I have been wanting to explore. Just last week, I tried my hand at a long exposure night shot of a ferris wheel at our local fair. The image didn’t turn out as “fluid” as I wanted. I bet Kent Weakley’s eClass would help me to fix what I did wrong. Crossing my fingers.
This class will change the way you think and create. I hope you can join us > http://bit.ly/cPVg2E
this sounds like an awesome class. i have so much to learn in this area. hope i win!
Perhaps this is a question for another place, but I am curious…Which is better, Photoshop or Lightroom and why? I am confused on the differences and strengths of each. Any insights and opinions would be greatly appreciated.
