Oh boy oh boy oh boy.
I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into, you guys. But here goes. The fabulous Nester, inspired by Darren Rowse’s (ProBlogger) series “31 Days to Build a Better Blog“, has assembled an AMAZING team of some of your favorite bloggers to present 31 posts in 31 days about varying topics.
7 amazing bloggers… … And me.
And I have committed to 31 posts in 31 days in October. That’s every day, you guys. Every day! Did you leave already?
So, with all caution thrown to the wind… and some real optimistic stupidity… I present:

Each day in October I will offer a tip, a useful link, a tutorial – and I’ll keep it brief, I promise. And I hope at the end of it all, each of you will have learned something along with me, and not have to beg me to stop blogging. I am assembling some of my favorite blogs, photographers for you to discover, tutorials that I love, books that have been meaningful to me, and even some things that have worked for me. Please don’t think that I will teach for 31 days. Mostly I will assemble and point you to amazing resources.
The best part of all of this – hands down the best of the best – is that Nester has assembled many of my favorite blogs to do their own 31 Days series.

Kendra assembled this collage. She’s so talented! From left to right, top to bottom:
Sandy Coughlin – Reluctant Entertainer – 31 Days to Stress-Free Entertaining
little ol’ me – Darcy – Life with my 3 Boybarians – 31 Days to a Better Photo
Jen – Balancing Beauty and Bedlam – 31 Days to More with Less
Melissa Michaels – The Inspired Room – 31 Days of Autumn Bliss
Emily F – Chatting at the Sky – 31 Days of Grace
Kendra – My First Kitchen – 31 Days to an Inspired Table
The Nester – Nesting Place – 31 Days to a Less Messy Nest
Emily – Remodeling this Life – 31 Days of Living Simply
I’ll admit it – the idea of 31 posts in 31 days is a lot for me. But I also know these girls are among the most creative, hard-working girls in the blogosphere, and I will try really hard not to be the annoying little sister tagging along ’cause Mom made me.
So, please join me in this blog suicide fun endeavor by subscribing, then swing by and subscribe to the fab girls above who will show us how it’s really done. Cannot wait to see what they’ve got up their sleeves. They are the real deal, yo.

looking forward to this, Darcy!
I can’t wait for the festivities to begin!
Can’t wait to see what I’m going to talk about! lol. Yeah.
I love this 31 day theme for the fall. I read Melissa’s post on The Inspired Room. Great ideas you all have. I will have lots of blog hopping to do.

Debbie

You are so cute, friend. Can’t wait for your photo genius for 31 days straight!!
Darcy–
Cannot wait! The only problem is I think Robin and I need waaaaay more than 31 posts to make a significant improvement in our photos!
I love how the 8 of us are going around leaving each other comments. At least we know that 7 people will read our series, right? Love you friend!
What fun!!!………my blog reader is going to blow up in Oct! lol……..can’t wait to see what you all do!!
Me either! loL!
Thanks Cheryl – your blog rocks – knowing you may stop by is a ton of pressure to make it worth it!
I want to follow them all! So fun!
OK, I’ll have to be better at visiting daily in October. This will be fun to watch!
Jody – It’s funny that you say “this will be fun to watch.” It’s like we are all a circus show and y’all get to watch us try to come up with 31 posts! So funny…
i just laughed out loud and have tears. a circus show.
you all are funny. i have a feeling the best part of the series will take place in the comments.
It will be fun, Darcy. Now have to get busy working on it! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. SO many talents … yah! (you!)
xo
Sandy – you are the real deal. If your posts will be anything like your book (which is FILLED with amazing tips) then I am looking forward to each day in my reader.

You are going to rock this!
I’m looking forward to this and to meeting all of you.
I just hopped over from The Nester. This is such a great idea!
I might faint.
Jules – yours is one of my favorite blogs in the blogosphere. So glad you found me in my humble little corner of the blogosphere.
Yahooo, this will be fun. I can’t wait.
wow, that looks awesome! you can do it
Oh Christy. Thank you for being a cheerleader.
I may not deserve such good faith, but I am certain the girls in my company do.
Can’t wait! You are all some of my favorites, so this will be fun. Very cute buttons, by the way!
lol! If I go down in flames on this I am so sticking with that silver lining, “Hey at least the buttons were cute!”
xo
This looks like so much fun! My husband is supposed to be back from Afghanistan on Oct. 31. What a fabulous way to occupy my time and count down! Woo Hoo!!
Oh Catherine –
I cannot wait to see your blog on Nov 1. Or perhaps we won’t see you for a month! Understandable. At any rate – happy to be a sideshow distraction for what has to be flutter-buttery count down!
xo
This is a great idea, Darcy ~ and looks like it will be a fun adventure for all of you!!! You are an amazing blogger.
Hi Darcy…here for the 1st time by way of the Nester…I will be tuning in to your 31 days to a better photo posts. If you are looking for ideas…let me bend your ear….I am new to blogging (3 months or so), I have a nice camera (Nikon D70) a hand me down form my photography obsessed Dad….I don’t know ANYTHING about photoshop, or editing software (I only use the very basics on Picasa or Photobucket and even those not often) Every tuotorial I read is WAY over my head. So…this is a long way of saying if you could do a post for the new blogger who really wants to start taking better pics, I would LOVE that! Thanks for listening. Maybe everyone else is so far ahead of me in this department! Tessa
Oh Tessa – you’re killin’ me. The pressure! The pressure!
Yes, I will be writing to the beginner. Surely – as if I would even attempt to write to the advanced photographer!
My first dSLR was a Nikon d70s back in the day. It is a powerful little toy and can produce some really beautiful images.
Thanks for stopping by. I’ll do my best.
Blog suicide is really the only fun way to do it. Keeps us on our Internet toes. I’m stoked to hear what you have to say. I like photos. And you. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better through this!
Go big or go home, right gf?!
I’ve only recently fallen in love with your blog and your witty humor. We are all in for a treat at your place!
This is going to be fantastic!
I’m so in. I’d love to improve my photography. Pressure’s on! Thanks for signing on, I look forward to your links, tips and tutorials.
Just became a follower and can’t wait for October.
Fondly,
Glenda
Wow…guess this means that by November I will be one grace filled, clean nest, photo snappin, autumn table entertainin’, gal. Simply living with less of course.
It’s Saturday…I’m exhausted…and I’m corny…sue me.
I am looking forward to this! But I am already having some anxiety over all the things I’ll see that I’ll want to do… I am going to have to rest up, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride:)
Thanks so much for putting this together! I’m really looking forward to hopping around and getting to know all of the bloggers involved…and hopefully learning some new stuff! Looking forward to it!
Oh wow I can’t wait. I know you won’t disappoint. I love reading your blog. Your tutorials are always easy to follow and I have learned so much from you. Hope you have fun participating in 31 days.
oh wow, i love how each blogger is doing a different topic! i can’t wait!!
oh, my! looking forward to it!
I’m new to your blog, but it saddens me to see that you are going to postpone SST for the month of October. I understand why, but it kinda breaks my heart. I would like to offer to team up with you in a way, so that SST can still happen, with out you having to do too much work. I’ll co-host it on my blog just the way you do it now. Let me know if you would want to try it. You can e-mail me at just.jen68 [at] ymail [dot] com
sounds amazing. i will be checking back. good luck doing 31/31.
I’m going to dive right in, and looks like the last day to do it. excited and scared since I doubt myself so often but am amazed at the things I can do at the same time.
Looking forward to it, Darcy!! Should be a blast! At least from this side of the monitor. LOL!!!
Very cute buttons and collage! This sounds great; I’m subscribing.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is wonderful!
I’m so very glad I stumbled across your blog. I’ve just borrowed a friend’s DSLR and I’m ready to start taking better photos with it. I look forward to learning from you over the next few weeks. This is wonderful!
