Today’s post is written by guest blogger, Rhea.
and revealing to the blogging world that my crazy photography talent
was really due to Picnik.
Ahem.
Wait, it wasn’t a dream was it?
Drat.
Well, I’ll admit, I can’t publish a post on my blog without photos.
and I have a lot of fun making my photos crazy or different.
I don’t have a DSLR or much photographic knowledge,
but I love to take pictures.
And I use Picnik to make them look great!
Now you know my dirty little secret.
I take a lot of photos.
lots and lots and lots.
And a few turn out really great!
But the rest need a little help.
Or I need to edit them a little bit to make them work on my blog.
So, I turn to Picnik.
I love, love, love Picnik.
Need to get the red eye out?
Need to hide blemishes?
Need to blur out a face or hide a stain?
Need to add words or a frame?
Need to make a black & white photo color or a color photo black& white?
Need to make a collage?
Need to make a normal-looking child look like an alien?
Picnik does all this and more.
I could spend hours showing you examples of what all you can do with Picnik, but
I don’t think Darcy wants me to write a three page post.
So, let’s take one photo and show you a quick variety of options available with Picnik at your fingertips.
This is a self-photo SOOC (straight out of the camera)
I uploaded this photo to Picnik, then choose to “orton” it,
resulting in the next photo…
where my face and hair look a little smoother, my hat a little pinker.
You can add text, big or small, different fonts and colors.
Here I put in what looks like a tattoo on my arm.
Here’s the same photo…from 1960.
And this photo is called “heat signature.”
You can turn any photo in a “pencil sketch.”
Or “posterize” it.
And don’t get me started on the collages.
I could seriously spend all day playing with photos on Picnik.
It’s so much fun.
The options are endless!!
